Street Furniture

Responsibility for street furniture (lighting, seats, cycle racks, bollards etc) is shared between the County, District and Town Councils depending on the type of street furniture and whereabouts it is located. As a general rule, street lighting, bollards etc, pelican crossing beacons are the responsibility of the County Council Highways Maintenance department (street lighting).

Seating and lighting etc within parks is the responsibility of the District Council, as is some street furniture within pedestrianised town centres (for example, Fore Street in Trowbridge). To contact the District Council please telephone 01225 776655 ext 105 or email jearney@westwiltshire.gov.uk
