Car Parks - Tariffs and General Information

Pay & display tariff

  • 0 -1 hour - 40p
  • 0 -2 hours  - 80p
  • 0 - 5 hours - £1.60
  • All day  - £3.60
  • 5-day ticket - £14.40

Other than the exemptions for disabled persons and motorcycles, all vehicles must clearly display a valid ticket or permit.

The departure time on the ticket takes account of any non-charging period, as shown by the following examples:

  • If you buy a five hour ticket at 5 pm on Friday, the departure time will be shown as 12 noon on the Saturday.
  • If you buy a one hour ticket at 6 am on Saturday, the departure time will be shown as 9 am on Saturday.

Motorcycles

Motorcycle bays are available in some car parks and can be used all day free of charge. If there are no designated bays available then normal time restrictions and charges apply.

Coaches

Marked bays are provided for coaches and buses to drop off and pick up passengers in:
  • Broad Street car park, Trowbridge
  • Central car park, Warminster 
  • Station car park Zone B, Bradford on Avon

Station car park Zone B can also be used for long stay parking, the tariff is as follows:

  • Coaches 0-3 hours - £4
  • Coaches all day - £6

Lorries

The only area provided by the Council for lorry parking is in King Street car park, Melksham. This can be used free of charge.

There is also a privately operated lorry park at the Granada Service Station situated on the A36/A350 roundabout near Warminster.
