West Wiltshire District Council is a member of the Wiltshire Emergency Multi Agency Group (WEMAG), which brings together all local agencies with role to play in responding to a major emergency, including utilities, transport companies and government agencies. The group meets quarterly to addresses emergency planning related issues at a tactical level and acts as a link with the Major Incident Coordinating Group, chaired by the County Council, which has strategic responsibility for emergency planning in the county.
