Open Space

The Council has adopted an open space guide as supplementary planning guidance to policies R4, C32 and I1 of the District Plan 1st Alteration. This provides detailed information on the District Council's policies and procedures for delivering open space in new housing developments through the planning system.

The draft document was subject to a 6 week period of public consultation from 16 April 2004 to 28 May 2004. Consultation responses were reported to the Council's Cabinet on 28 July 2004 and it was resolved that an amended document be adopted as supplementary planning guidance.
