Local Development Framework Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) One of the key documents within the Local development Framework is the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). Our SCI sets out how the Council will involve the community in the preparation, alteration and continuing review of all Local Development Documents and planning applications. It also sets out the standards that the Council will use when engaging the community during the delivery of its other services. The Council adopted the West Wiltshire SCI on 21 June 2006. The adoption was preceded by a 12 month period of development, which included informal and formal consultation and an examination by an independently appointed Inspector.
