Design and Built In Quality Awards
The Design Awards Scheme was set up in 2002 to identify and congratulate examples of good quality development taking place within our District. It has become a biannual event and in 2004, Policy and Conservation was joined by Building Control to extend the scope of the scheme. This year we have changed the name and style of the award scheme to take account of this partnership, and acknowledge the importance of build quality.
Anyone can nominate a development scheme, you do not have to be the owner or architect.
The Built in Quality and Design Awards will be determined separately. However, it is possible to win awards or commendations for both.
The award winners will be announced in December 2008 at a presentation ceremony.
- Design Award plaques will be awarded for display on the relevant buildings or landscape features.
- Awards for Built in Quality will be given to the contractor who carried out the works
- Certificates will be presented to the successful designers and owners of the property or scheme.
