Public Halls

West Wiltshire District Council transferred the ownership and management for Warminster Assembly Hall, The Civic Hall Trowbridge, St Margaret's Hall Bradford on Avon, Melksham Assembly Hall and The Laverton Hall in Westbury to the respective town councils. This came about following a review of the Public Halls Service which identified that as each hall was seen by the public very much as a local facility and predominately used by local people then each hall would be better owned and managed on a local basis.
