Westbury Walk 03 - Market Place Walk

Start: Market Place.

Distance: 1.3 mile.

Intensity: Level 2/3 (occasional steep gradients and descents).

Terrain: Narrow pavements, some uneven footpaths and a main road to cross.

Finish: Market Place.

Points of interest: Pleasant back streets of Westbury.

The Walk

From the Market Place, go into Maristow Street and then turn left into Edward Street. Follow the road past the Library and walk up to Bratton Road, taking care with the narrow pavement.

Cross the road into Snappersnipes and continue up the steep footpath to join The Butts. Turn left and continue along the road until you reach Newtown, then turn left again.

Cross back over Bratton Road into Alfred Street, keep to the right and turn into Gibbs Close. Follow the footpath round, past the electricity sub-station, and rejoin Alfred Street.

Turn left and then turn right onto the footpath leading back to the Market Place.
