Westbury Walk 01 - Laverton Walk

Start: Market Place.

Distance: 1 mile.

Intensity: Level 1 / 2 (short walk, occasional steep gradients and descents).

Terrain: Narrow pavements and footpaths, main road to cross.

Finish: Market Place.

Points of interest: Historical buildings of Westbury.

The Walk

From the Market Place, go into Maristow Street and then turn left into Edward Street. Follow the road past the library and then turn left into Church Street, to go past Westbury Swimming Pool.

Turn right into Chantry Lane, then keep to the right so you can join the footpath leading to Bratton Road. At the top, cross the road to the pavement and turn right, pass Prospect Square and then cross back again to thepavement to enter Edward Street.

Continue round into Church Street and then follow Bitham Lane until you reach Alfred Street, before turning left to join the footpath back to Market Place.
