Warminster Walk 05 - Boot Hill Walk

Start: Western Car Park.

Distance: 2.3 miles approximately.

Intensity: Level 2/3 (occasional steep gradients).

Terrain: Pavements, main roads to cross.

Finish: Western Car Park

Points of interest: Country Park Area.

The Walk

From the Western car park, go out into Sambourne Road and cross over into Emwell Street, passing the Weymouth Arms. Carry on up the hill to Vicarage Street, taking care along the narrow pavement. At the mini roundabout, turn right into Grovelands Way and follow the road around, past the play area to the right, until you reach Victoria Road.

Turn right and then left into Masefield Road - take care when crossing the main road at the point where the pavement starts. Follow the road to the roundabout, then turn into Brook Street and then Fore Street, with the recreation ground on the left.

At the end of Fore Street, turn left into Boot Hill, taking care to cross over to the pavement. Continue up the hill until the pelican crossing, cross over, pass Sambourne School and the cricket ground, and return to the car park.
