Sports Pitches

The District Council owns and manages 19 pitches.  These are available for booking by clubs/teams and members of the public for a charge.  They provide a facility for recreational sport and/or physical activity on long summer evenings, or formal organised traditional sporting activities like football, rugby or cricket throughout the weekends of the year.  This activity, which forms part of everyday life for children and adults alike, whether organised or recreational will not only provide social interaction but adds to the Sport England “30 minutes a day” message and will help achieve their national 1% target of increasing participation.
