Funding for arts projects

A small budget is available to help groups to develop arts projects that meet one of our corporate objectives.  Priority will be given to schemes that encourage participation in arts activities, and serve the needs of young people and/or those living in rural communities.

Advice and support from other organisations

There are a a number of organisations, partly funded by us that can give advice and support to voluntary organisations and community groups needing to develop projects and raise funds.  These include:

Charities Information Bureau (CIB)

keeps a database of funders and advises on charity law, telephone 01380 729279 or email mary@cibwilts.org.uk

Bridge House Community Trust

has a part-time funding advice officer, telephone 01225 767993 or email funding@vaww.org.uk

Wiltshire Race Equality Council (WREC)

gives advice, guidance and support on all issues concerning racial equalities, telephone 01225 766439.

Central Bidding Unit (CBU)

at the County Council speacialises in attracting external funding into Wiltshire.  The CBU works with the CIB to produce a regular funding bulletin, telephone Graham Harris on 01225 722475 or email grahamharris@wiltshire.gov.uk

Community First

provides practical support, advice, guidance and project development skills to local initiatives as well as managing some grant programmes, telephone 01380 722475 or email reception@communityfirst.org.uk
