What is community planning?

Community planning is local people getting together to find out the needs and priorities of everyone in their community, and working, sometimes with other groups and agencies, to develop practical solutions.

Community planning looks at social, economic, environmental and cultural issues. Outcomes from this can influence the way we deliver services.

Help is available to groups undertaking this. If you're interested, please contact the Area Co-ordinators on 01225 770346 or visit the Community Development web page.

Are Area Community Meetings open to everyone?

Yes.

The quarterly Area Community Meetings are open to anyone living in the district. They have been developed to help break down the barriers between the Council and local residents, and to enable informal discussion of issues that affect people living in West Wiltshire. Local people help determine the issues for discussion, so please come along and join in. For more information please visit the Community Development web page
