Rubbish collections
Focsa Services Ltd is West Wiltshire District Council's new refuse contractor and has been providing the refuse collection service from 1 April 2007. To visit Focsa's website please click here (external site, opens in new window).

If you have any queries about the service, or to report if your bin was missed, please contact Commercial Services at West Wiltshire District Council on 01225 776655 between 8.30am - 5.30pm (Monday - Thursday) and 8.30am - 5pm (Friday). Alternatively you can email us at recycling@westwiltshire.gov.uk.
Please note that we cannot accept grey bins that contain certain materials, including:
- Rubble and hardcore
- Building waste,
- Garden waste,
- Carpets,
- Clinical waste,
- Hazardous waste,
- Commercial waste, and
- Some recyclable materials such as paper, glass bottles and jars, cans and textiles.
If your bin is not emptied because it contains any of these items, please remove the item(s) before the next collection day so that your bin can be emptied. All of these items, except for commercial waste (follow this link to see how you should deal with commercial waste), can be taken to any of the household recycling centres in the district, free of charge.
Please be advised that your wheeled bin is not designed to last forever. As with any item that experiences wear and tear it will need to be replaced. Please ensure that your bin is presented for collection in a reasonable condition. It must have a lid and wheels fitted and working to ensure collection.
A full review of rubbish and recycling collections is currently underway, and is due to be considered by Cabinet. All existing policies and procedures will be examined during this process.
