Register of commercial and industrial installations

('Part B' processes)

All of the commercial and industrial installations licensed by West Wiltshire District Council are available to view by clicking here - (pdf file).

A license is required for statutorily prescribed processes that have the potential to cause significant environmental pollution. A list of the type of processes, which require a license and the relevant licensing body is available, please e-mail environmentalprotection@westwiltshire.gov.uk

It is illegal to operate a prescribed process without the operator holding a license. The license will include detailed conditions on the operation of the process and may set limits for emissions into the environment. A license will not be issued unless the Local Authority or the Environment Agency are satisfied that the process utilises the best available techniques available, within a reasonable cost, to prevent harmful emissions to the environment or to render emissions harmless.

A complete and up to date register of prescribed processes operating in West Wiltshire can be viewed at the Environmental Protection team office in Bradley Road, Trowbridge. Please telephone to make an appointment on 01225 776655.
