Cluster Flies - Pest Control

Related pages: Flies / maggots in waste bins

The cluster fly is sometimes called "attic fly" which is black and is little larger than the common housefly.

A late summer cluster flies seek winter protection and crawl into the home through small holes and cracks of the outer building. Once in the house, if they become warm they are attracted to light. Which means they may move into living areas through window frames or gaps between light fittings etc.

Prevention

When they are looking for shelter they congregate on the sunny sides of buildings. They gradually move upward until they find a point of entry. All cracks and holes should be sealed to prevent the cluster flies from gaining entry to the house.

Safety

All pesticides applied by our qualified staff are chosen to ensure the safety of the public and to minimise damage to the environment.
