Work with all Council departments to promote the principles of sustainable development and identify ways in which Council services can meet sustainability objectives.

• To make sure that Council services take full account of the principles of sustainability
• To ensure that the Council provides services which contribute to the ‘sustainable development’ of West Wiltshire. i.e. which help to protect and improve the quality of life in West Wiltshire for residents now and for future generations

The Council has a robust process for considering the sustainability impacts of its services and operations.
