Consent Street Trading Areas

The Council has designated certain areas (Consent Street Trading Areas) where trading can only take place with a licence.

These areas are as follows, but this may change as we are currently consulting on street trading:

Melksham

Bank Street - Cannon Square - Church Street - Church Walk

Copper Beech Court (off Lowbourne) - High Street - King Street - Kingsbury Court

Lowbourne - Market Place - Oakwood Drive - Orchard Gardens(part)

Place Road - Spa Road (part) - Stratton Walk - Thornbank - Union Street

Trowbridge

The pedestrianised Streets, namely:

Fore Street - Castle Street (From Market Street to Manvers Street) - Church Walk

Red Hat Lane

Warminster

East Street - Emwell Street - Fairfield Road - George Street - High Street

Imber Road - Market Place - North Row - Portway - Sambourne Gardens

Sambourne Road - Silver Street - Station Road - The Avenue - The Close

Vicarage Street - Weymouth Street

Outside these areas there is no restriction on trading as far as this Council is concerned, unless planning consent is required.
