
Environmental Health
The Environmental Health Service comprises of three teams and is headed by John Carter, Environmental Health Manager.
Environmental Protection lead by Graham Steady, Principal Environmental Health Officer. The team deals with air pollution, contaminated land, drainage, public health, noise, pest control and dog warden issues.
Food and Safety lead by David Bardwell, Principal Environmental Health Officer. The team deals with food safety, health & safety, drinking water quality and infectious disease control issues.
Licensing lead by Clive Harland, Principal Environmental Health Officer. The team deals with taxis, Licensing Act controls and miscellaneous other licensing functions including gambling and animal welfare issues.
Emergency Planning is also dealt with by the Environmental Health Service. John Carter and Graham Steady are the contacts for this subject.
The Environmental Health Service aims to protect and improve the environment, health, safety, animal welfare, mental wellbeing, and provide freedom from criminal activity in West Wiltshire by delivering high quality services in the areas of nuisance, occupational safety and health, air, land and water pollution, pest control, licensing, food safety and infectious disease.
