Education - special educational needs - assessment

A statutory assessment is a process for collecting information, which will enable us to gain a clear picture of your child's special educational needs.

Unless your child has severe special needs, it is a procedure which is rare, as in most circumstances additional support can be given by the school or pre-school at School Action/Early Years Action or School Action Plus/Early Years Action Plus.
