Domiciliary Care
A carer is someone who looks after a relative, partner or a friend who cannot manage at home without help due to a disability or illness or because they are elderly or frail. According to the 2001 census there are 39,886 carers in Wiltshire. Around 3 in 5 people will be a carer at some point in their lives.
A provider service can be any organisation, agency, group of people or individual, which supplies a service in the community, home or hospital.
There are agencies that we have approved and use when we need to do so, depending your needs and the person you care for. It is possible for you to contact them directly for services providing that you are prepared to pay for the hourly rate.
This includes Domiciliary Care Agencies that can provide support and care within the home. Some services are not provided by us such as gardening services, mobile hairdressers etc.
The Merlin Local Information Database contains contact details for over 8,000 Wiltshire organisations from theatre companies to sports clubs, from health support groups to gardening societies.
