Healthy Employer Strategy

The Council has adopted a Healthy Employer Strategy, including the following elements:

  • Employee Support Programme
  • Policies including Smoking and Stress Awareness
  • Opportunities to exercise
  • Provision of on-site showers
  • Reduced-cost membership of leisure centres
  • Healthy diet options at staff canteen
  • Provision of water coolers around Council offices

This strategy will continue to be developed, with more health-related staff support initiatives to be added.
