Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP)

Like any organisation the Council needs to consider how future changes may impact on its finances and its ability to deliver services.

The Council has its MTFP, which looks forward four years beyond the current year. It makes allowance for known changes in services and includes assumptions for inflation, interest rates and the level of government grant that the council will receive.

The MTFP is not a precise forecast of what will happen but is a guide as to whether the Council needs to consider significant action to accommodate future years changes.
