Cabinet

The Council's Cabinet is comprised of 9 members and is responsible for:

  • developing the budget and policy framework
  • members' allowances
  • cabinet forward work plan
  • referrals from other member bodies (matters that were referred from other committees for discussion by cabinet)
  • making key decisions
  • setting up policy project groups (PPG's have no decision-making powers, but instead develop policy proposals and submit them to Cabinet).

The Cabinet holds public meetings at least once every two months, and the meetings are held in the Council Chamber at the council offices in Bradley Road, Trowbridge.
