Cemeteries & Burials

The Council provides and manages well-maintained cemeteries in the district’s five towns and in the villages of Hilperton and Holt. We also maintain adopted closed churchyards within the district.

We aim to offer a sympathetic service to the bereaved, liaising with undertakers regarding siting burial plots, digging and backfilling graves, and interment of ashes. Through our burial records we can also offer assistance to people researching family history.

Hours of opening for all cemeteries:
Oct - March 9am - 4pm
April - Sept 9am - 7pm
