More people in the UK are affected by motor crime than any other form of criminal activity. It accounts for over a quarter of all recorded crime in the UK and costs a staggering £3 billion a year.
If you hear something about a crime, or know someone involved in crime, do you tend to think "it's nothing to do with me"? Or do you want to help the police?
It's understandable that many people don't want to get involved, for all sorts of reasons. But there is something you can do about motor crime, or any other criminal activity you know about, completely anonymously, without risk and without getting involved. Call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Follow the advice:
Older vehicles are more likely to be targeted as they don't have the built-in security of modern ones.
