Wiltshire Community Web

The Wiltshire Community Web has been developed by the Wiltshire Community Web Partnership, a partnership between Wiltshire County Council, Kennet District Council, Salisbury District Council, North Wiltshire District Council, West Wiltshire District Council and Community First under the auspices of the Wiltshire Customer First Partnership .

The Wiltshire Community Web will allow local groups, businesses and individuals the chance to build and maintain websites for free. The project is funded by the County and District Councils and the Voluntary and Community Sectors.

You can become a member of the Wiltshire Community Web and create and maintain your own website for free. The system is quick and easy to use and will give you a permanent presence on the World Wide Web. Just click on the 'Create a Site' button when you enter the site and follow the easy on-line instructions.

The Wiltshire Community Web will also:

• provide a single 'portal' through which a wide range of existing community sites can linked to and easily accessed;
• promote community groups, small businesses and clubs;
• improve access to information

A local voluntary organisation, Community First, will manage the site on behalf of the partners.
