Village hall grants

County village hall grant scheme

Grants are available for major capital projects of £5,000 or more.

Normal repairs and decoration are not regarded as capital work but, where a building has been well maintained, major repairs such as a new roof or heating system can be considered as such.

This is a joint scheme between the District and County Councils following a ratio of 2:5, and it is co-ordinated by the Village Halls Advisor at Community First. Applications have to be in by 1 August for the following financial year.
