Homelessness

If our housing options team are unable to prevent your homelessness, the Homeless Officer will assess your situation and, if applicable, provide you and your family with temporary accommodation. A homeless application will be completed and the Homeless Officer will make a decision under the homelessness legislation, taking into consideration the following terms:

• Eligible for assistance
• Homeless or threatened with homelessness
• In priority need
• Intentional homelessness
• Local connection

The Homeless Officer will also offer advice to other agencies on homelessness and will continue to provide advice and assistance to applicants.
