Benefits - Going back to work

If you are in receipt of Income Support/ Job-Seekers Allowance you could qualify for an extra 4 weeks of Housing and Council Tax Benefit when you start work or increase your hours, no matter what you earn.

To qualify you will need to have been in receipt of Income Support / Job-Seekers Allowance for 26 weeks and that you expect your new job to last for at least 5 weeks.

To make a claim, please contact the Department of Work and Pensions within 4 weeks of starting work.
