Small Grants

Small Grants

Small grants are being awarded in partnership with the 5 Community Area Partnerships – Bradford on Avon Area, Melksham Area, Trowbridge Area, Westbury Area & Warminster Area, to help address issues highlighted in in their community plans. Community groups whose activities address at least one of West Wiltshire District Council’s Corporate Priorities and one of the issues in their local area community plan are eligible to apply.

Grants are generally between £100 and £500 as a contribution towards a project, not fully funding a project. Applicants should also approach their Town or Parish Council for support. As with all grants they cannot be awarded retrospectively, ie it has to be agreed in writing before work starts. Applications will be assessed quarterly.

The word version of the application forms can be printed off and completed by hand or filled in and submitted electronically.  Supporting information can also be submitted electronically but you may not have all the required supporting information in electronic format.  This can be submitted through the post. The form is designed such that the boxes will expand to allow more words if necessary but certain questions will always start on a new page, so don’t worry if a table expands over two pages or a gap appears.

If you are unsure as to whether to apply or have any other queries please get in touch with the appropriate contact above.

If you have difficulty in contacting any of these people, please contact Margaret Tipper on 01225 776655 ext. 501.
