The Wiltshire Compact

Improving relationships between the statutory, voluntary and community sector

The Wiltshire Compact is a set of principles and codes that state how the voluntary/community sector and the statutory sector will work together.  The Compact aims to improve the quality of life for people through joint working arrangements and a better understanding between the sectors.

The shared vision of the the Compact is to:

"improve the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of the communities in Wiltshire."

The benefits of the COMPACT to people living in Wiltshire will include:

  • better support for community groups
  • more opportunities for communities to take part in decision making
  • improved services
